Renault Australia announced on 4 February 2020 that ATECO will be appointed to manage the Renault brand in Australia from 1 April, 2021 as part of Groupe Renault’s global re-organisation.

Renault Australia has stated that the decision in no way affects the future of Renault in Australia and the move will not result in any significant change to dealerships. The change will see the dealer franchise agreements with Renault Australia transferred to the ATECO Group. Some Renault Australia staff will also be transferred to ATECO to continue the Renault business and maintain the Renault brand under ATECO management.
