Danielle Flint

Danielle Flint is a Special Counsel in the Workplace Relations and Safety team in the Perth office.

Danielle was admitted to practice in 2001 and has experience in providing employers with advice on all aspects of the employment relationship. Danielle has worked for a range of clients across such sectors as construction, resources, agribusiness, transport, retail and health.

Danielle’s focus is on partnering with clients to provide commercial, timely and accurate advice on complex employment matters including the transmission and acquisition of businesses, dealing with ill and injured employees, investigation into major workplace incidents and the drafting of complex commercial and executive arrangements.

Experience

Danielle’s experience includes advising:

  • Resources on all employment issues arising from the acquisition of businesses by both listed and unlisted companies;
  • Local Government with conducting external investigations into complaints alleging bullying, harassment, discrimination and health and safety breaches including interviewing witnesses, preparing complex investigation reports and outcomes for participants;
  • Resources in relation to drafting executive service agreements, including complex bonus arrangements, employee share plans and salary sacrificing arrangements;
  • Real estate on prominent employers in relation to the post employment activities of former employees, the enforcement of post-employment restraints and the protection of the employer’s intellectual property and confidential information;
  • Insurance in relation to representing insured employers in employment litigation, including unfair dismissal, adverse action, unlawful discrimination and breach of contract under Employment Practices Liability insurance;
  • Various industries with assisting employers to manage long term ill and injured employees and the management of the intersection between the associated litigation that can arise in such circumstances, including unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claim, general protections claims and workers’ compensation claims; and
  • Various industries representing employers and principal contractors in responding to and defending prosecutions under work health and safety laws.
