HWL Ebsworth has advised RD Jones Group on the sale of the Worldsmart business to Banyan Software. The transaction completed on 1 August 2024.
The RD Jones Group is a family-owned and operated business with a range of companies in the hospitality, gaming and technology industries, which has operated Worldsmart for over 20 years.
Worldsmart is a leading provider of integrated point-of-sale, loyalty, e-commerce and business intelligence solutions to the retail industry. Worldsmart has over 2600 supermarkets, greengrocers, liquor stores, petrol stations and convenience stores using its systems throughout Australasia.
The HWL Ebsworth deal team was led by Jamie Restas (Partner) and Sarah Minns (Senior Associate) with assistance from Cam Steele (Partner), Cam Pitt (Solicitor), Kate Munn (Solicitor) and Jarod Eddy (Graduate).
