HWL Ebsworth Lawyers has advised South Australian founded SAGE Group through its acquisition by US engineering firm, Tetra Tech.
Founded in South Australia in 1994, SAGE Group is now a global industrial services provider, specialising in system integration and automation services. SAGE Group operates four brands and has almost 800 employees across Australia and India. Until acquisition, SAGE Group has remained privately owned.
California-based Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and technology, design and engineering, and program management services. Tetra Tech has over 30,000 employees globally, operating out of 550 offices, including more than 50 across Australia and New Zealand.
Adrian Fahey, SAGE Group’s Managing Director, said that in addition to positioning SAGE for global growth, the acquisition will deliver new capabilities for Australian customers.
This acquisition combines SAGE Group’s digital automation capabilities with Tetra Tech’s technical expertise and global reach delivering more comprehensive, data-driven solutions to clients. It positions both companies for long-term growth by expanding their service offerings, enhancing innovation and unlocking new opportunities for clients globally.
