Brent van Staden is a Partner of HWL Ebsworth’s Corporate Group and is key figure in the firm’s corporate and capital markets practice, with specialist expertise in IPO’s/RTO’s, pre-IPO capital raising and post-IPO secondary raisings. His capital raising experience covers all aspects of initial public offerings, rights issues, placements, hybrid issues, share purchase plans and related transactions.
Brent advises clients across all industries, but focusses on mineral exploration and mining, tech and biotech and procurement.

- IntelliHR on its merger by Scheme of Arrangement with AKKR owned Humanforce – as defence counsel, achieved a 280% premium for shareholders;
- SQX Resources and Ballymore Resources on their IPOs and ASX Listings in 2023 and 2021 respectively;
- technology company, Audeara Limited, on its underwritten IPO and ASX Listing;
- Bowen Coking Coal Limited on its underwritten rights issue and multiple strategic placements;
- Metallica Minerals Limited on its underwritten rights issue and shortfall placement as well as several placements and complex JORC-based ASX announcements;
- fintech company, Easton Investments Limited on the proportionate takeover offer received from HUB24 Limited in 2020;
- administrators of Greatcell Solar Limited on a Deed of Company Arrangement;
- a ports operator on outsourcing its entire IT infrastructure, including leading negotiations and drafting documents with multiple service providers under a Managed Services Agreement;
- numerous oil and gas industry clients on gas drilling contracts; and
- various clients in the resources and technology sectors regarding ongoing ASX compliance, including market announcements.
