HWL Ebsworth has advised RMA Automotive Holdings Pty Ltd (RMA Automotive Australia) on its successful appointment by Ford Motor Company of Australia (Ford) under a major contract to remanufacture the 2023 Ford F-150 for the Australian market.
RMA Automotive Australia is a member of the RMA Group, a Thailand-headquartered conglomerate with operations worldwide. The RMA Group has automotive manufacturing centres in Thailand, Turkey, Dubai, South Africa and Australia. They have over 30 years of engineering expertise and rank as a world leading supplier of special vehicles.
The RMA Group currently works closely with Ford Motor Company globally, up-fitting Ford vehicles for emergency, security and industrial use. RMA Group entities have also achieved accreditation as a Ford Motor Company USA Qualified Vehicle Modifier.
Under the contract with Ford, US manufactured F-150s will be imported and remanufactured to right-hand drive by RMA Automotive Australia in Melbourne. The remanufactured F-150s will then be sold through the Ford dealer network in Australia.
