HWL Ebsworth has advised NGP Group on the sale of its automotive dealership businesses and associated dealership properties in ACT to Eagers Automotive Limited which completed on 2 September 2022. The value of the deal was over $200 million.
The dealership group comprises of a range of automotive marques including Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Jeep and Ford, with locations in Belconnen, Fyshwick, Gungahlin and Phillip. These dealerships have an annual turnover of approximately $450 million.
The deal team was led by Maria Townsend (Partner), with the assistance of Robert Gibson (Partner) and George Marques (Partner). The team included Jock Lehman (Associate), Jennifer Bradley (Solicitor), Tom Kaldis (Solicitor), Charles Marques (Solicitor) and Peter Pertsoulis (Solicitor).
