From 24 March 2022, Registrants of third level .au domain names such as domainname.com.au and domainname.net.au have been given first access to reserve their second level .au direct domain name equivalent, ie domainname.au. The priority allocation window is closing soon, on 20 September 2022. After this time, .au direct domain names will be available for registration by the general public.
HWL Ebsworth Lawyers has been following the release of these domain names closely and has assisted a number of clients to secure their .au direct domain name equivalent.
