Vicki Jenner
Vicki is Special Counsel in the Melbourne office of HWL Ebsworth’s national transport practice group.
Admitted to practice in 2000, Vicki has over 20 years’ experience practising in the fields of insurance, transport law, and personal injuries litigation. She has practised in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and has conducted litigation in Courts and Tribunals at all levels from Magistrates’ Courts through to Supreme Courts and Courts of Appeal.
Vicki has extensive expertise across broad insurance and personal injuries fields including public liability, product liability, aviation, marine accident claims, property damage claims, workplace injuries, contribution and recovery proceedings, and the provision of advice with respect to a variety of aviation, marine, and insurance related issues.
Her broad and diverse litigation and advisory experience means that Vicki brings a keen insight and strategic approach when advising and acting on behalf of her clients.
Vicki is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (ALAANZ), and the Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum.
Experience
Vicki’s experience includes advising and acting on behalf of:
- Various airlines, domestic and international, in relation to claims pursuant to the Montreal Convention and Civil Aviation (Carriers’ Liability) Act 1959, property damage and personal injury claims, recovery proceedings, and other disputes;
- Various clients in relation to marine accidents and resultant claims and disputes;
- A statutory corporation in respect of varying insurance claims, asbestos related litigation, coronial inquiries and vexatious litigation;
- Municipal authorities in respect of public liability, professional negligence and other insurance related litigation; and
- Varying clients in respect of complex multi-party litigation arising from industrial accidents and the respective liabilities of employer, host employer and third party tortfeasors.
