Trisha Lingard

Trisha has over 10 years of experience in commercial dispute resolution and litigation. She has built a reputation for managing complex matters and achieving outcomes through strategic and creative problem-solving. Trisha’s broad litigation experience includes acting in contractual disputes, debt recovery, property and leasing matters, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, securities enforcement, and regulatory investigations.

Trisha was part of the team of solicitors assisting the Commissioner on the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants, a role that further honed her ability to manage high-profile, complex matters. This experience allowed her to approach cases with a long-term perspective, structuring and planning for the best possible outcomes. Her unique background, with previous work as an Event Manager and Media Adviser, informs her approach to dispute resolution by applying a methodical, action-driven mindset.

Trisha’s ability to combine legal insight with commercial considerations allows her to help clients avoid future conflicts and resolve disputes effectively. Her approach is grounded in creativity and critical thinking—qualities that enable her to step outside the typical ‘tunnel vision’ of legal processes to craft solutions that deliver real, practical results.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Business in Journalism and Public Relations.

  • Planning Litigation: Specialising in compulsory land acquisition matters, Trisha works closely with clients in navigating legal complexities in the planning and development space;
  • Wills and Estates / Trust Law Disputes: With an empathetic yet practical approach, Trisha assists clients with resolving disputes arising in relation to wills and estates, as well as trust law matters;
  • Competition and Consumer Law: Trisha has particular expertise in relation to Australian Consumer Law, helping businesses navigate regulatory challenges, compliance issues, and consumer protection matters; and
  • Commissions and Inquiries: With significant experience advising and assisting in commissions and inquiries, Trisha offers strategic advice and representation in public and private inquiries, including regulatory investigations and quasi-criminal matters, such as white collar crime.
