Samantha Reidy
Samantha has extensive experience in advising listed and private corporations in connection with all aspects of corporate and commercial activities.
Samantha’s expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, private equity/venture capital and procurement. In addition, Samantha regularly provides Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule advice, including in relation to related party transactions, corporate governance, directors’ duties, share capital reconstructions and continuous disclosure.
Samantha works with clients across a range of industries, including government, energy and resources, information technology, agriculture, wine and manufacturing.
Experience
Samantha’s experience includes advising:
- SA Government in relation to:
- Department of Human Services’ sale of its Domiciliary Care Services business and adult therapy services business;
- $1.605 billion commercialisation of the State’s lands titling and valuation services;
- $670 million sale of forward rotations rights in connection with the state’s forest plantation; and
- $427 million sale of the right to operate SA Lotteries to the Tatts Group.
- Allegro Funds, Australian private equity house and fund manager, on its purchase of Great Southern Rail (the Ghan and Indian Pacific) from Serco Group plc and its subsequent sale to Quadrant Private Equity for $110 million; and
- Quadrant Energy on the establishment and administration of a senior executive incentive plan arising as a result of Macquarie Capital and Brookfield Consortium’s $2.1 billion acquisition of Apache WA oil and gas assets, and the subsequent US$1.93 billion sale of Quadrant Energy to Santos.
