Russell is the firm’s Chief Executive Partner, having assumed the role on 1 July 2024. Russell has in-depth knowledge of the legal services industry, Australia’s regulatory environment and business development principles, and is focussed on developing and executing the firm’s strategic growth strategies. Russell works collaboratively across the firm’s client-facing business functions to achieve sustained success.

Russell has overall joint responsibility for the firm’s national partner group and specific leadership of the firm’s business development, pro bono, government and public relations, knowledge and risk management operations.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Russell worked in corporate regulatory, corporate advisory and stockbroking in Australia and funds management in Scotland. Russell holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Laws (JD).
