Neil Wallman

Neil is a Partner in HWL Ebsworth’s national Litigation Group. Working on a variety of litigious matters, he specialises in corporations and shareholder disputes and resolving disputes where there is potential for significant financial and reputational loss for clients. His technical experience spans commercial litigation, equity, corporations matters and contractual disputes.

Neil also has extensive experience in acting for clients seeking to obtain urgent injunctive relief in the Supreme Court and Federal Court to either avoid or minimise reputational and financial harm from occurring or to prevent the distribution of unlawfully obtained assets.

Experience

Neil’s experience includes advising:

  • The NSW Government in Supreme Court proceedings against a former commercial contractor – resolved on terms proposed by NSW Government;
  • An international entity in a multi-proceeding dispute involving claims of breach of shareholders’ deed, breach of contract; breach of intellectual property rights and breach of directors’ duties;
  • A director in Supreme Court proceedings commenced against an international re-insurer;
  • A multi-national facilities service provider in a contractual dispute with a supplier;
  • A multi-national entity in respect of asset preservation orders made against an employee for misappropriation of monies;
  • A multi-national manufacturer in contractual dispute with US-based supplier; and
  • A pharmaceutical company in Supreme Court proceedings involving allegations of breach of contract and contempt.
