Natalie Botha is a Special Counsel in HWL Ebsworth’s Construction and Infrastructure group and provides advice in respect of building and infrastructure projects, in both front-end and back-end construction matters. Natalie has expertise in procurement and contracting and all aspects of litigation, including claims preparation and defence. Natalie’s broader experience includes insurance and commercial disputes.
Natalie has significant experience in public infrastructure projects, with a focus on road and rail. Additionally, Natalie’s project experience covers renewable energy and water projects, residential and commercial development, hospitals, universities, and warehousing.
Natalie is a member of IAQ and Society of Construction Law Australia.

- Confidential Client Advising on a Ship Lifting Facility project in respect of the negotiation and drafting of a suite of contracts for the construction, maintenance and operation of the facility.
- European EPC Contractor Advising on the construction of two 100MW and 40MW solar farm projects, including drafting and reviewing project contracts. Providing ongoing project management, contractual and claims resolution advice in relation to the EPC contract, D&C Contract and subcontracts.
- D&C Contractor Acting on behalf of the D&C Contractor for the Gold Coast Light Rail Project in relation to a multi-million dollar design dispute involving claims under the Trade Practices Act for breach of contract and negligence.
- Contractor Providing ongoing project and claims resolution advice to a contractor for the Cape York Peninsula Developmental Road project. Claims included concerns in relation to time bars, variation claims, defective design, misrepresentation and breach of contract.
- The Principal Negotiation and drafting of the design and construct contract, and ongoing project management advice for stage two of an $84 million private hospital development inclusive of interface works and an early works package.
