Meagan uses over 20 years of legal experience and strong project management skills to provide excellent client service and advice that is responsive, pragmatic and commercial. With a firm focus on client objectives, and also across the detail, Meagan consistently achieves effective commercial results for her clients.

Meagan specialises in acquisitions and disposals in a range of sectors (commercial, retail, industrial, aged care and agriculture), site assembly, residential and mixed use development (including strata), major commercial leasing and portfolio management. Meagan also advises on the real estate aspects of port, rail and water infrastructure projects, and advises real estate industry clients, statutory authorities and local governments.

Meagan has been recognised in Best LawyersTM – Australia for 2015-2022.

Experience

Meagan’s experience includes advising:

  • ASX-listed developer on subdivision and titling and residential consumer stage sale contracts for vacant land and built form estates in Western Australia. Also, completed its acquisition and simultaneous exercise of multiple call options over residential development land valued at over $60 million;
  • Pilbara Ports Authority on Stage 1 of the delivery of the $187.5 million Spoilbank Marina project in Port Hedland which is being managed by the port authority and funded by the State Government, Town of Port Hedland and BHP. And, general real estate advice including in relation to the management and leasing of Crown land and port land;
  • Water Corporation on all real estate matters including easements, leases and licences of surplus land (freehold and Crown land), acquisitions and settlements and general commercial advice under its constituting and operating legislation;
  • Aged care provider on the acquisition and disposal of multiple aged care facilities (land and businesses) in Western Australia and New South Wales, management agreements and ancillary advice on operations and regulatory matters under the Aged Care Act and joint venture arrangements;
  • Occupier clients in resources and commercial sectors on agreements for lease and leases for their large WA head offices and associated premises consolidations and relocations and large retailers on premises acquisition and property portfolio management; and
  • Various local government clients on the disposal of surplus land, social, retail and commercial leasing and general property and process advice under the Local Government Act.
