Lisa has acted for government and private sector clients on some of the largest infrastructure and PPP projects in Australia, including major transport infrastructure, airport terminals, Defence projects, desalination plants, commercial building projects and mining.
Experience
Lisa’s experience includes advising:
- North East Link Program on project delivery and contract administration issues related to the Early Works program for the North East Link, a new multi billion dollar freeway connection in Melbourne’s northern suburbs;
- Level Crossing Removal Project on project delivery and contract administration issues related to the removal of 110 level crossings across Melbourne;
- West Gate Tunnel Project on a VCAT proceeding commenced by a private developer related to the construction of the West Gate Tunnel;
- State of Victoria on project delivery, contract administration issues and disputes related to the Melbourne City Link infrastructure project and its PPP concession arrangement;
- Victorian road government authorities on project delivery and resolution of claims and disputes related to freeway projects and major road upgrades around metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, including CityLink Tulla Widening, M80 Upgrade, Monash Freeway Upgrade, Chandler Highway Upgrade, O’Herns Road Upgrade, Streamlining Hoddle Street, Princes Highway, South Gippsland Highway and Mordialloc Bypass;
- Department of Defence on contract administration issues and resolution of claims and disputes related to various Defence Force infrastructure projects, including in an expert determination of delay claims, an arbitration arising of defective works on base infrastructure and adjudications of security of payment claims;
- a mining company on claims against a mining services contractor following a safety incident that disrupted production in an underground mine project;
- a solar installation company on the resolution of claims and negotiation of commercial re-set arising out of a design, procurement and installation of a solar farm and embedded network;
- a government railway infrastructure owner on claims arising out of a rail safety incident that occurred in the context of a track signalling upgrade project;
- Melbourne Airport on delay and variation claims by a contractor and providing strategic advice to ensure efficient completion of the new domestic terminal, car park and associated roads and infrastructure; and
- a joint venture between Abigroup Contractors and McConnell Dowell Constructors contracted to design and construct the Adelaide Desalination Plant for SA Water Corporation on disputes arising from the design and construction contract and design subcontract in Supreme Court of Victoria.
