Lily Schafer-Gardiner

Lily specialises in workplace relations, safety and discrimination law.

Lily has broad experience in managing complex disputes in the Fair Work Commission, NSW Industrial Relations Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission, Federal Court of Australia and the NSW District Court.

Lily regularly conducts workplace investigations for corporate and government clients with a focus on sexual harassment, safety and workplace conduct.

Experience

Lily’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Multiple construction industry clients by providing crisis support and defence strategy following serious workplace incidents and workplace fatalities;
  • Various NSW Government departments by conducting investigations into allegations of workplace harassment, bullying and other misconduct;
  • A security services provider by advising in relation to enterprise bargaining, responding to union initiated disputes and defending a discrimination complaint in the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Federal Court of Australia;
  • Multiple media and entertainment industry clients by providing advice in relation to employment contracts, workplace restructuring and conducting workplace investigations; and
  • A hospitality industry client by negotiating the exit of a senior staff member.
