Kate specialises in commercial disputes and regulatory compliance. Kate has significant experience in large complex litigation and has acted in a broad range of commercial disputes relating to breach of contract, breach of statutory and fiduciary duties and misleading and deceptive conduct claims.
Kate works closely with her clients at the earliest stage of disputes to provide strategic, and outcomes focused, advice. Kate is also part of our Government team and has worked with Commonwealth Government departments and agencies.

- 61 South Australian local government councils Advising local councils and the State of South Australia (the public lighting customers) in obtaining an arbitrated determination from the Australian Energy Regulator in respect of public lighting pricing under the Australian Energy Law for the 2005-2010 regulatory period resulting in a repayment of $13 million to the public lighting customers.
- a company officer Successfully defending a misleading and deceptive conduct and breach of contract claim in the Victorian Supreme Court arising from alleged misrepresentations during the acquisition of a food production business (111-day trial) and an appeal against the indemnity costs order made in those proceedings.
- Australian Vintage Limited Advising in relation to a leasing dispute over the largest vineyard in the Southern Hemisphere including an application to the New South Wales Supreme Court to set aside an Expert Determination and subsequent successful appeal to the New South Wales Court of Appeal on a question of law.
