Jacob is a Special Counsel in the Commonwealth Government Practice Group.

With substantial experience advising on commercial contracting, Jacob has advised Commonwealth clients on a broad range of contracting, procurement, probity and grants matters, including in relation to commercial negotiations, the preparation of complex approach to market documentation, establishing panel arrangements, managing disputes and termination processes, and contract management.

Jacob has provided legal advice to a wide range on Commonwealth clients (including Commonwealth Corporations), as well as providing advice to private corporations and companies on commercial and governance matters.

Jacob’s experience working with Commonwealth clients gives him a thorough understanding of the needs and requirements of Commonwealth clients.

  • Services Australia Advising in relation to welfare distribution card products, including the Enhanced Income Management Card and the Enhanced Electronic Benefits Card product.
  • Department of Social Services Advising in relation to the 1800RESPECT Program, a vital service in supporting individuals (and their advocates) who may be experiencing sexual, domestic or family violence.
  • Department of Defence Advising in relation to high value training services procurements, including major transformation programs, complex services contract, performance management frameworks and complex multi-contractor transition in / transition out arrangements.
  • Department of Health Advising in relation to commercial legal matters on a broad range of ongoing departmental programs, including advice in relation to administration of grant agreements, disputes with service providers, debit recovery, contract termination and novation, confidentiality and privacy.
