Dylan Younane

Dylan joined the firm in 2011 and since that time has developed a specialisation in government, public liability and statutory insurance.

Dylan has experience across a broad range of personal injury litigated matters, primarily acting on behalf of insurers, statutory insurers and self-insured clients. He has extensive experience in defending claims arising out of motor vehicle and industrial accidents. Dylan primarily acts in the County and Supreme Courts, and also acts on instructions in the Magistrates’ Court and tribunals.

Experience

Dylan’s experience includes advising:

  • Transport Accident Commission and a community member in defence of a County Court proceeding arising out of a series of collisions resulting in a fatality and nervous shock claim;
  • State of Victoria in defence of a claim by a community member injured on the common area of public housing premises;
  • National transport and supply logistics company in defence of a proceeding brought by an injured worker and recovery proceeding by the WorkCover authority arising out of a worker’s misstep and injury while climbing onto a forklift; and
  • State of Victoria in defence of a claim by a school community member injured in the school gymnasium.
