Danielle Le Breton

Danielle specialises in Planning, Environmental and Government Law and is an experienced litigator and advisor to government and private clients.

Danielle provides strategic and commercial advice to developers, land owners, state and local government on all development projects. Danielle enjoys working with clients to determine appropriate project approval pathways and with project teams to prepare the environmental assessment documentation required to obtain relevant planning and environmental approvals . Danielle is also an experienced litigator in the Land and Environment Court in relation to planning and administrative matters as well as environmental prosecutions and enforcement.

Experience

Danielle’s experience includes advising:

  • UrbanGrowth NSW on the planning and environment law aspects of the delivery of various major development projects across New South Wales including the relevant planning agreements and funding arrangements;
  • Euro Properties and Lotus Property Fund on the acquisition and major redevelopment of the current Channel Nine site in Willoughby and acted in relation to Supreme Court and Land and Environment Court proceedings relating to the acquisition and planning approval pathway;
  • Wanda Group on the major redevelopment of Goldfields House, Fairfax House and the Rugby Club at 1 Alfred Street, Circular Quay;
  • Crown and Prosha on a major redevelopment in Eastlakes and successfully defended administrative law proceedings brought by Botany Bay City Council challenging the Project Approval granted by the Planning Assessment Commission; and
  • Private clients on environmental prosecutions by the Environment Protection Authority for pollution of waters and failure to notify which were successfully defended in the Land and Environment Court.
