Alicia Pelham

Alicia practices primarily for corporate, local government and private sector clients in the areas of property, commercial banking and finance, and contract law.

Alicia’s experience in property law includes commercial and residential property acquisitions and sales, due diligence on accquisitions, property development (subdivisions and strata titling), and plan amendments.

In the commercial area, Alicia is experienced in business and asset acquisitions and sales, due diligence, loans and securities, registration and advice, leasing and licensing arrangements (including the Code of Practice for Retail Tenancies in Tasmania), and service provision arrangements.  She also works with a numebr of banks to prepare and register security documentation, and mortgagee sale matters.

Alicia also has experience in the preparation of estate planning documentation, and advising on aged care residency agreements (both respite and permanent care).

Experience

Alicia’s experience includes advising:

  • Agribusiness Operators in the acquisition of land and business agribusiness assets;
  • Developers in strata titling and subdividing, developing and selling of properties througout Tasmania;
  • Major Banks in relation to a number of its mortgagee sales of farms, businesses, development sites and residential properties in Tasmania;
  • Major Banks in the preparation and registration of security documents over real property, water and irrigation licences, and other assets; and
  • The State of Tasmania on all leasing, licensing and commercial contracts and negotiating contractual terms for the operation and maintenance of the Tasmanian Trunked Mobile Radio Network.
