The mid-year release of both the Bloomberg and Refinitiv league tables has ranked HWL Ebsworth No. 1 in the ECM market, with the firm advising on the highest number of equity and equity related transactions in Australia for the first half of the year. This is the first time this has been achieved by the firm.
Despite the challenging market and impacts of COVID19, the firm continues to advise on a significant number of deals and leads its competitors by advising on nearly double the volume of deals, assisting its clients raise over $868 million.
In Western Australia, HWL Ebsworth’s corporate team was also ranked No.1 legal advisors for ECM deals, both in deal number and size, according to Business News’ mid-year Corporate Finance Report.
The national and WA rankings are the result of strong performance in advising clients on their capital raisings including Ingenia Communities Group, Centuria Industrial REIT, Bellevue Gold, New Century Resources, Oldfield Holdings, Auteco Gold, Chalice Gold Mines and Calidus Resources; and IPOs including Atomo Diagnostics, Emerald Clinics and InteliCare Holdings.
