HWL Ebsworth has advised the founders of the Barambah Organics business, Ian and Jane Campbell, on a significant investment by asset management firm Tanarra Capital. The Campbells will retain an interest in the business, and continue to be involved in the management of its operations and implementation of its growth strategy.
Barambah Organics is a vertically-integrated producer of certified organic milk, yoghurt, cream and cheese products, which are distributed nationally and internationally to over 800 stores. The company has farms in Goondiwindi, Queensland and Raleigh, Bellingen region New South Wales.
The transaction combined HWL Ebsworth’s significant experience in the food and agribusiness industry with its full service corporate offering and private equity experience.
The HWL Ebsworth team included partners Cameron Jorss and Stewart Ebbott, who were assisted by associate Eloise Jolly.
