The Opportunity
We are looking for Associate or Senior Lawyer who are eager to advance their careers. Join our esteemed Sydney Insurance practice, where you will work closely with renowned Partners, Jason Stevens and Sylvia Quang. As a vital part of our close-knit team, you will be immersed in a diverse range of property insurance matters.
Scope of role
The successful candidate will be engaged in:
- Direct client access;
- Close collaboration with Partners in a strong team environment;
- Supportive training and mentoring;
- Advisory work on coverage analysis, liability and potential non-disclosure and misrepresentation issues; and
- Assisting insurers with claims disputes, investigations and complaints.
Specific skills and experience for this role include:
- Associate or Senior Associate level with 3-6 years PAE;
- Experience with disputes, litigated and non-litigated and complaints to AFCA (but not essential);
- Critical analysis skills in respect to expert reports, the Insurance Contracts Act, policy interpretation;
- Ability to draft clear and concise communications and legal analysis in plain English;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to deal with clients and stakeholders; and
- Desire to develop your career and professional network in the Insurance industry.
