Nikki specialises in intellectual property, technology and privacy law, with particular interest in the R&D and space sectors. She also advises in relation to commercial law, consumer protection and competition law.
Nikki assists businesses to protect and commercialise IP, negotiate R&D grants and collaborations and managing data privacy and security compliance and risks. She is experienced in establishing and supporting complex research and development collaborations, including major grant programs funded through the Australian Research Council and Cooperative Research Centres, and activities of Research and Development Corporations.
More generally, Nikki works with clients to negotiate and document a wide range of corporate and commercial arrangements and transactions, including outsourcing, subcontracting, procurement, licensing and distribution agreements, technology transfer and commercialisation, governance and sale and purchase transactions. She has extensive expertise in the information technology and software space, across a range of implementation and project types, including in the context of outsourcing regulated by APRA Prudential Standards.
