Jonathan Nguyen
Jonathan is a Special Counsel in the Workplace Relations and Safety team at HWL Ebsworth and has been practising in the area of employment law and industrial relations since 1999.
Jonathan has over 17 years of experience in private practice and 3 years of experience as a Senior In-house Lawyer for the Australian and International Pilots Association (AIPA).
Jonathan has proven abilities in providing legal, strategic and practical advice to employers, employees and Unions. Through his private practice and in-house experience, Jonathan has developed a unique insight into the employment and industrial relations strategies of employers and unions having acted for both sides.
Experience
Jonathan’s experience includes advising:
- Various clients in the aviation industry, including Airlines and Unions, on enteprise bargaining and employment disputes;
- Various clients in the security services industry in defending legal proceedings brought by employees and Unions;
- Various clients in the financial services industry on enforcing post-employment restraints and confidentiality obligations against employees and executives (including issuing urgent Court applications to obtain interlocutory injunctions and search orders); and
- Various clients in the transport, finance and health care industry on the restructure of their business.
