The opportunity

We have an opportunity to join our highly regarded Melbourne General Commercial Litigation team working alongside our partner Evan Stents and his team. You’ll work on an interesting mix of dispute resolution and insolvency matters; Evan is also one of the leading Automotive lawyers in Australia. We represent a broad client base including all tiers of government, ASX listed companies, large and small private businesses, landowners, banks and credit unions, and individuals. You’ll be exposed to interesting and varied matters across commercial and civil litigation and preparing tailored advice. You may be involved in disputes in relation to contractual matters, trade practices, insolvency, franchising, property and leasing. We are also interested in candidates with experience in regulatory investigations and civil penalty litigation. You’d be busy with:

• Primary carriage of general commercial litigation matters;
• Assisting the wider Litigation team in large scale matters; and
• Court appearances, drafting of legal documents, legal research and client relationship management.

Ideally, you might have

• 5+ years PAE.
• An interest in Automotive desirable
• Experience with general litigation, or dispute resolutions
• Appetite to mentor our juniors.
• A client focused mindset.
