Melissa has over twenty years of franchising experience, having worked in varied roles within a large franchise organisation.
She also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and is skilled in state taxes, drafting and negotiating contracts, due diligence, verification, business sales and purchases, share sales and purchases, corporate governance, corporations law, business planning and legal compliance.
Experience
Melissa’s experience includes advising:
- Numerous franchise clients including Lenard’s, Degani, Zarraffa’s, HydroKleen and Australian Tuning in relation to franchising documentation, renewals, adice work and general commericial matters;
- Australia’s largest electricity supplier on its $16 million acquisition of a privately owned energy consultancy business;
- Brisbane based marine company on the sale of their ferry business in Sydney;
- Brisbane based grain company on the acquisition of a grain facility in Victoria;
- Melbourne based client on the acquisition of a barramundi farm in North Qld; and
- Edge Early Learning on their acquisition of numerous child care centres in Brisbane
