Vic Draghicescu

Vic is a Special Counsel in our South Australian Real Estate and Projects team and practices in all areas of property, development and contract law.

Vic acts for clients across a range of property and project matters, including:

  • acting for vendors and purchasers in the sale and purchase of a wide range of properties (commercial, retail, agricultural, industrial and residential), and associated due diligence processes;
  • acting for landlords and tenants across all manner of commercial and industrial leasing arrangements, including advising in relation to construction agreements for lease and related transaction documents; and
  • the structuring, negotiation and documentation of various complex and bespoke property transactions, project finance arrangements and development agreements.

Vic adopts a considered and pragmatic approach to his legal advice and focuses on achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. He was recognised by Doyle’s Guide in 2023 as a Rising Star in Property & Real Estate Law.

Experience

Vic’s recent experience includes advising:

  • clients with numerous multi-storey CBD mixed-use and residential apartment projects, including project finance and structuring documents, sales contracts and community title land division;
  • a South Australian household name vendor in the sale of a major viticultural property in South Australia, including advising in relation to associated Crown Land licence rights and water rights;
  • clients on the sale, development and letting of shopping centres and supermarket premises, acting for both public and private supermarket operators in multiple locations across South Australia;
  • a vendor in the sale and long term leaseback of its main manufacturing facility, including advising on potential environmental and contamination issues;
  • tenants in long term ground leases from the State Government in the Tonsley Innovation District;
  • a large national developer in its purchase of a large, partly completed master-planned residential development project, which required significant due diligence to be undertaken; and
  • clients on joint venture matters, option agreements, land division, development agreements and sales contracts for a range of master plan development sights (including Lightsview, 88 O’Connell, West and Largs Bay).
