Simone Marin
Simone Marin is a Partner of HWL Ebsworth, offering our clients high-level technical expertise in commercial risk management and litigation, mortgage recovery and security enforcement, the enforcement of consumer and commercial contracts and insolvency. Her priority is to work with clients on a one-to-one basis to ensure they are able to minimise risk exposure and, in situations where disputes arise, to recover their assets.
Simone coordinates our National offices for our Banking clients utilising a tailored online Portal/Extranet which handles the general management of the files and features real time reporting which increases the efficacy, accuracy and visibility for our clients across all matters, nationally.
Experience
Simone’s recent experience includes:
- Financial institutions: Acting for a large number of financial institutions on a national basis in relation to the service of Default Notices for regulated and unregulated contracts, issuing writs for possession and taking possession of real property;
- Security enforcement: Advising financial institutions on the strategy to be undertaken in the enforcement of its security to minimise risks and costs;
- Mortgagors/guarantors: Acting for financial institutions where claims of fraud and the enforceability of the security are raised by the mortgagors/guarantors;
- Financial institutions: Advising financial institutions on the National Credit Code, Code of Banking Practice and FOS; and
- Finance companies: Advising financial institutions and finance companies as to the implications of and the appointment of Agents for the Mortgagees, Receivers and Controllers including strategic advice as to which appointment is the most effective in the circumstances.
