Shaun McNaught is a Partner in HWL Ebsworth’s Perth Real Estate and Projects team, specialising in project-specific tenure and property aspects of major mining, infrastructure and energy developments. He advises on complex land access arrangements, statutory frameworks and infrastructure delivery, with a focus on strategic outcomes for high-value projects.

Shaun’s experience includes advising on industrial, agricultural and commercial property acquisitions, joint ventures, and tenure structuring for ports, power generation systems and major utility plants.   • Water Corporation Advising on all aspects of its significant property holdings, including acquisitions (by negotiation and compulsorily), disposals,  leasing, licensing and projects including the Burrup Seawater Scheme and Flat Rocks Wind Farm.
  • Tattarang/Fiveight Advising on Roe Highway Industrial Park joint venture and acquisition of key tourism and development sites including East Perth Power Station and Old Swan Brewery.
  • Invesco Advising on investment in a half stake in Chevron’s $800M Perth headquarters at Elizabeth Quay, including property due diligence and transaction structuring.
  • Horizon Power Advising on  the Remote Essential Services Project which utilises renewable energy sources to deliver power to remote and indigenous communities throughout WA.
  • Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts Advising on the diesel fuel supply system constructed and operating on Christmas Island.
  • SALIC Advising Saudi Agricultural Livestock Investment Company on  purchase of WA’s largest single parcel of broad acre farming land, including tenure and regulatory matters.
  • Blackstone Advising on sale of $3.8B industrial portfolio, purchase of $640M portfolio from Goodman Group and proposed acquisition of Crown Resorts.
