Nicole Miethke
Nicole is a Special Counsel in our Brisbane office and has extensive experience in insurance, working in-house for insurers, in government and in the private sector for both plaintiffs and defendants in NSW and Queensland. Nicole assists insurers and institutions in the management and defence of civil claims, including all aspects of person injury litigation, specialises in historical abuse claims including sensitive, complex and high quantum matters.
Experience
Nicole’s experience includes advising:
- Government departments concerning intentional torts, public liability and historical abuse claims,
- Various government agencies in the areas of claims management with a focus on alternative dispute resolution; and
- Insurers and government agencies in common law claims for compensation involving both physical and psychological injuries in Supreme and District Court proceedings.
