Katie specialises in dispute resolution, intellectual property and media and communications.
Katie assists clients in respect of complex commercial litigation, particularly real property disputes and corporations and shareholder disputes.
Katie has experience acting for clients seeking urgent injunctive relief in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Federal Court of Australia. She also has a wide range of experience acting for individuals and corporations across multiple jurisdictions at both first instance and on appeal.
Experience
Katie’s experience includes:
- Acting in Federal Court proceedings for a multi-national company involving allegations of breach of directors duties;
- Advising a pharmaceutical company in Supreme Court Proceedings involving allegations of breach of contract and contempt;
- Advising a large private not for profit aged care organisation as landlord, against a high-profile tenant, concerning the make good dispute of a large commercial building which is currently progressing in the Supreme Court of New South Wales; and
- Advising a multi-national company in proceedings involving allegations of breaches of fiduciary duties, sale and distribution of alleged counterfeit products and misleading and deceptive conduct.
