Delano Leen

Delano assists lenders, insolvency practitioners, directors and creditors on a range of litigious and insolvency related matters.

He regularly acts in disputes involving land, trusts, commercial leases, joint ventures, partnerships and shareholders.  He also assists construction contractors with debt recovery, including under the Security of Payment regime.

Delano adopts a commercial and practical approach and focuses on achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. He was recognised by Doyle’s Guide in 2019 as a rising star in Australia in ‘Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Insolvency’.

Experience

Delano’s experience includes advising:

  • Directors on a wide range of insolvency related matters, contract disputes and misleading and deceptive conduct claims;
  • Construction contractors on debt recovery (including under the Security of Payment regime);
  • Landlords in relation to various leasing disputes;
  • Insolvency practitioners on various personal and corporate insolvency matters and conducting litigation; and
  • Lenders on debt recovery options and assisting with litigation and securities enforcement, and dealing with priority disputes over assets (including in relation to the Personal Property Securities Act 2009).
