Cassandra has significant experience in both standard and bespoke banking and finance transactions. She acts for and advises multiple Australian banks (including the Big 4), financial institutions and non-bank lenders on a broad range of domestic and multi-jurisdictional transactions, with a particular focus on the real estate, construction/development and various corporate industries.

Cassandra has practiced in both New South Wales and Victoria. Having begun her legal career working in the finance team of a multinational construction and real estate company, before moving to an in-house legal team of a major bank, she brings with her a deep understanding of clients’ needs and a commitment to providing a seamless, relationship focused legal service.

  • two major Australian banks advising core debt and working capital facilities totalling AUD200 million on a club basis to a Victorian hotel group.
  • a major Australian bank advising on the complex refinance of a corporate logistics company with multiple partnerships and subsidiaries from another bank.
  • a major Australian bank advising on its financing of the acquisition of the leasehold interest in ‘The Darling Exchange’ including drafting, negotiating and settling a side deed with Place Management NSW.
  • a major Australian bank advising on its financing of the acquisition of a limestone and gypsum manufacturer and its various real estate and other assets by an agricultural minerals corporation and restructuring of its existing facilities.
  • a major Australian bank advising on the restructuring and consolidation of facilities totalling AUD80 million in connection with the large real estate portfolio of a pastoral and forestry operator in Tasmania.
  • a major Australian bank advising multiple core debt and working capital facilities to assist with the corporate financing of a newly developed healthcare precinct.
  • a New Zealand bank advisingon a number of cross-border transactions involving Australian subsidiaries of NZ domiciled entities.
  • various non-bank lenders advising in connection with a number of land bank and development facilities.
