Alice Greenwood

Alice is a Special Counsel within the Construction and Infrastructure group in Sydney. She specialises in full suite of delivery methods, including design and construct, construct only, operation and maintenance, managing contractor, alliance, PPP, consultancies, services contracts, funding agreements, interface agreements and supply contracts.

Alice has significant experience in the procurement and delivery of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Alice brings a unique commercial perspective when advising clients, having previously worked both in private practice and in-house. Most recently, Alice worked in-house delivering the WestConnex Program of Works.

Experience

Alice’s experience includes advising:

  • WestConnex and NSW Treasury, whilst working in -house, in the NSW State Government’s sale of stakes in WestConnex. Alice also led the legal function of the WestConnex Project Management Office;
  • WestConnex – Transurban, whilst working in -house, in the delivery of the second stage of the WestConnex Program of Works (the New M5 or M8 Motorway) valued at over $4 billion. In this role, Alice was embedded within the Stage 2 Project’s commercial team and advised on all aspects of the Stage 2 Project throughout the entire project delivery process;
  • Transport for NSW on the early works package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest Project;
  • Transport for NSW in respect of the $2.1 billion Sydney Light Rail PPP Project;
  • Roads and Maritime Services in relation to the design and construction contract for the Foxground and Berry Bypass which formed part of the Princes Highway Upgrade Project;
  • Roads and Maritime Services in relation to the design and construction contract for the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads portion of the Pacific Highway Upgrade project;
  • University of Wollongong in relation to the University’s student accommodation PPP project, including preparation of the suite of project and finance documentation;
  • Department of Defence and the Department of Finance regarding the development of managing contractor and medium works contracts for various projects relating to the management of Commonwealth water infrastructure assets, post-entry quarantine facilities and electrical infrastructure; and
  • Commonwealth Department of Defence in relation to the transition of operational arrangements for ship repair, maintenance, and dock operation services at Garden Island in Sydney.
