Experience
- Department of Human Services: Advising on the establishment of the eHealth Record Public Key Infrastructure system, including privacy and security, certificate policies and software licensing;
- Department of Finance: Advising on the formation of govCMS, an open source web content management system, being the first whole of government SaaS public cloud project, including project documentation and privacy;
- Grains Research and Development Corporation: Advising on a complex infrastructure grants program, including providing strategic advice to the general counsel to facilitate the funding within a compressed timeframe, and conducting multiple rounds of negotiations in parallel; and
- Australian Federal Police: Advising and representing the AFP in a Fair Work Commission application by a former employee whose employment had been terminated because of alleged use of illegal drugs. The matter involved emerging international research and expert evidence concerning occupational exposure by law enforcement employees to illicit substances, and in particular the accuracy and reliability of urine and hair testing of such employees in circumstances where occupational exposure is alleged.
