Our Brisbane Planning, Environment & Government Practice Group has experienced significant growth over the past few years and now requires a number of Solicitors, across all levels, to assist with its continued expansion.
You will have the opportunity to work with outstanding developer clients, government entities, consultants, and the other practice groups within our national firm, working closely with Partners, and other senior solicitors on exciting projects.

About the opportunity
Our Brisbane Planning, Environment & Government Team specialises in advising and acting for public and private sector clients in relation to planning and development matters in Queensland, and issues affecting local governments, infrastructure disputes, and environmental protection matters.
In this role you will work closely with Partner, Peter Bittner, and a team of highly motivated Solicitors. You will gain significant experience in all aspects of town planning and environmental law in Queensland. With a diverse range of clients including large residential, industrial and retail developers, resource companies, infrastructure providers, local governments, and entities in the gas and electricity fields. You will advise on large and complex developments, working closely with our clients and their consultants to assist in delivering outstanding outcomes, including where necessary, challenges in the Planning & Environment court, Land Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.

Skills and experience
- 1+ years PAE through to senior solicitor level;
- Experience in one or more of Planning, Environment & Government is preferred, or a significant interest in this area of law;
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities;
- Ability to build relationships with clients and other members of the team; and
- Ability to work autonomously on matters.
