Victoria McGie

Victoria McGie is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team. Victoria advises on, drafts and negotiates a broad range of commercial agreements including supply, sale, procurement, consultancy, joint venture and construction agreements. She also advises clients on corporate compliance, including director’s duties.

Victoria has particular expertise in advising clients in the not-for-profit sector including those who work in highly regulated environments. In addition, Victoria has extensive experience advising on front-end construction contracts for commercial, infrastructure and energy projects (including EPC and O&M contracts).

Victoria’s clients include not-for-profits, developers, government entities, resource companies and contractors. Victoria has lived and worked as a lawyer in the United Kingdom, Abu Dhabi and Australia, and is dual qualified to practice in Western Australia and the United Kingdom.


Victoria’s experience includes advising:

  • MercyCare and Brightwater on multiple construction contracts for aged care and early learning centre developments, and commercial agreements for their business operations;
  • WARRRL, the Coordinator for the Containers for Change Scheme, on all their Scheme agreements and regulatory compliance matters;
  • Local governments and statutory entities on construction contracts, commercial agreements and compliance matters;
  • Calidus Mining on procurement strategies, RFTs, an EPC and construction contracts for a gold processing plant;
  • BCI Minerals on procurement strategies, RFTs and contracts for a large minerals extraction/processing plant;
  • Wood Group with bespoke supply, construction and consultancy contracts for their EPCM role on a large lithium processing project;
  • IPIC on the construction of a multi-billion dollar oil pipe line in the Middle East; and
  • Commercial developers on ECI and construction contracts for multiple commercial and residential developments.
