Nicole Maxwell

Nicole is a property lawyer who has acted on numerous major projects for both private corporations and government.

Nicole has considerable experience in legal due diligence and the acquisition and disposition of buildings and property in the Melbourne CBD and throughout Victoria. She also specialises in leasing in the commercial, retail and industrial industries and the development of precedent documents and major agreements.

Nicole has been named in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Leasing Law and Real Property law.

Experience

Nicole’s recent experience includes:

  • MTAA: Acting as the retail leasing lawyer for MTAA at Vogue Shopping Plaza, 670 Chapel Street, South Yarra;
  • MTAA: Acted for MTAA in its acquisition and disposition of a number of CBD and inner city buildings, including the acquisition and subsequent disposition by MTAA of its 50% interest in Southern Cross West, 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne and the acquisition of Vogue Plaza Shopping Centre;
  • Brookfield Multiplex: Acted in the acquisition of The Foundry and 401 Bourke Street, Melbourne, including having the height restrictive covenant removed from title to enable the planned commercial and office development to proceed;
  • Stockland: Acting for Stockland in its industrial leasing for Victoria;
  • Viva Energy: Acting for Viva in its disposition of sites and in its leasing and complex property agreements; and
  • Credit Suisse: Acting for Credit Suisse in its leasing and leasing dispute matters.
