Michelle Hall

Michelle has extensive experience in front-end and back end construction and infrastructure matters.

Michelle’s practice includes advising principals, contractors, subcontractors and consultants in relation to contract negotiation, contract administration, claim management and construction law litigation.

Michelle has specific expertise in adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry payment Act 2004 (Qld) and has also acted in security of payment disputes throughout other Australian states and territories.

Michelle is a committee member of the National Association of Women in Construction’s Education and Mentoring Chapter Committee (QLD).


Michelle’s experience includes advising on:

  • Transport infrastructure claimants and respondents in relation to security of payment disputes involving key transport projects in Queensland;
  • Commercial and residential projects in relation to drafting, negotiating and reviewing various styles of construction contracts and delivery methods (including design and construct, construct only and guaranteed maximum price);
  • Principals, contractors and subcontractors on a range of licensing and regulatory requirements, including the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991;
  • Subcontractors on the prosecution of claims pursuant to the Subcontractors Charges Act 1974;
  • Confidential clients in relation to various construction contract claims such as variations, delay damages, extensions of time and defective work claims under the construction contract concerned; and
  • Superintendents and contract administrators on contract administration and contractual obligations/duties.
