Jennifer Graves

Jennifer assists the property partners in the Norwest and Sydney office in relation to complex property matters.

Jennifer specialises in acting for property developers in relation to acquisitions and sales of development sites and commercial buildings, preparing commercial and retail leases and drafting complex strata by-laws and strata management statement.

Jennifer has extensive experience practising in all areas of property law. She acts for property developers and commercial property owners in all areas of property development including the acquisition, development and disposal  of development sites including shopping centres, mixed use developments, multi unit residential developments and development and sale of multi lot land subdivisions.

She has acted for a broad range of clients including high net worth individuals and private companies.


Jennifer’s experience includes advising:

  • An investment fund manager on the acquisition of 2 orchards in southern NSW including the acquisition of water rights;
  • The developer of a private medical centre in regional NSW on the sale of part of the building;
  • Property developers with preparing master sales contracts for property developers for strata developments for residents aged over 55 including all drafting by-laws and section 88B instruments;
  • Several clients in relation to granting easements over their properties in favour of neighbouring properties;
  • Various clients on due diligence for clients purchasing office buildings in both Sydney and Canberra;
  • Property developers on acquisition and disposal of development sites, entering into Put & Call Options, Variation of Put & Call Options, drafting section 88B instruments and terminating Strata Schemes. Drafting By-Laws and Strata Management Statements;
  • Individual Property Owners in relation to extinguishing unused right of way, purchase of waterfront property including the grant of a new Crown Licence for waterfront structures;
  • Owners Corporations of Strata Schemes on drafting changes of By-Laws and resolutions for Extraordinary General Meetings;
  • Landlords of commercial and retail premises in relation to new leases, renewals after exercise of options and consenting to assignments of Lease; and
  • Executors and beneficiaries on obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration in complex estate matters.
