Jason Maletic

Jason Maletic is one of the leading Venture Capital and Tech M&A lawyers in Australia, having acted for a range of clients across some of the most prominent transactions in the industry. He has over 21 years’ experience in corporate and commercial advisory, fintech, proptech, climate tech, financial services, specialise in VC investment from early stage through to exit and advising strategic venture capital investors.

He acts for venture capital funds, early stage issuers, consortiums, high net worth investors, multi-national corporations, banks and financial services companies.

As a former banker turned lawyer, Jason also has significant experience in the financial services industry having acted for a number of neo banks and non-bank financial institutions.

He has experience in all aspects of the investment process from due diligence, term sheet negotiation, seed funding, security terms for preference shares, warrants, convertible notes, employee share plans and eventually through to exit for trade sales, dual tracks and IPOs.

  • Venture Capital Funds by acting for a number of Australia’s leading venture capital funds on a variety of investments and follow on rounds in Australian early stage companies.
