Graeme Dennis

Graeme has extensive experience in energy projects, energy trading (including power, gas, LNG, and environmental products) market regulation and reform, climate change, and renewable energy.

He has advised on a range of electric power and gas projects involving project finance and structuring of power stations, LNG plants, solar farms and wind farms, and energy purchase and trading contracts, including the development of energy futures, swaps and hedges.

Graeme also has experience in energy market regulation and reform, and has advised clients on the privatisation and acquisition of energy businesses.

Graeme has been named in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Climate Change Law, Energy Law and Regulatory Law.


Graeme’s recent experience includes:

  • ACT Government: Advised in relation to its renewable energy projects;
  • CECEP Wind Power Corporation: Acted on the acquisition of White Rock Wind Farm;
  • TransGrid: Advised in relation to various power transmission project;
  • Origin Energy: Acted on the acquisition of Eraring and Uranquinty Power Stations; and
  • Clean Energy Regulator: Advised on the Emissions Reduction Fund auction contracts.
