Erin Martin

Erin specialises in assisting insurers and blue chip clients mitigate and/or recover loss, in relation matters including to commercial matters, personal injury matters and general business matters.

Erin has advised clients in both front-end and back-end transactions, and has acted for and advised a large national retail centre both in relation to their risk mitigation, insurance issues, and claim management.

Having undertaken work for both domestic and international clients, Erin’s strengths lie in her out of the box thinking, and her ability to truly understand the aims of the client in any particular transaction.

Experience

Erin’s experience includes advising:

  • WorkCover Queensland in relation to various personal injury claims, including drafting reasons for decision where claims had been rejected;
  • Government departments in relation to issues dealing with conflicts of interest, the impact and interaction with various pieces of legislation, including the Information Privacy Act, and in securing documentation had that been disseminated without appropriate authority;
  • Various clients with property recovery and business interruption claims; and
  • Various clients on personal injury matters (including public liability, motor accident claims and workers’ compensation claims), successfully defending a number of matters at trial and at the Court of Appeal.
