Christopher Lehmann
Chris is an experienced solicitor with 10 years post qualification experience in administrative law, personal injury law, claims management and dispute resolution.
Chris works in HWL’s statutory and regulatory team and provides legal services to leading government and private insurance enterprises as well as specialist insurers in relation to sensitive and complex claims.
Chris advises clients and manages statutory compensation and work injury damages claims for some of Australia’s leading business organisations, employers, and insurers, including SICorp; the Workers Compensation Nominal Insurer; Allianz Australia Insurance Limited; CMI Insurance; Employers Mutual Limited; Suncorp/GIO; QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited; and Westpac.
Chris is also an appointed DRS Claims Assessor under the Motor Accidents Injuries Act 2017.
Experience
Chris’s recent experience includes acting for:
- The NSW Police force in relation to various complex and sensitive work injury damages claims;
- Fire and Rescue NSW in relation to complex and sensitive statutory and work injury damages claims;
- Various NSW Local Health Districts in relation to a range of complex and sensitive statutory and work injury damages claims; and
- Coal Mines Insurance in relation to litigated claims in the residual jurisdiction of the District Court of NSW and Supreme Court of NSW.
