Andrew Buchanan
Andrew has more than 25 years experience working in commercial property in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Andrew’s extensive experience enables him to work with his clients to achieve cost effective solutions which maximise the commercial outcomes for his clients.
Andrew’s areas of expertise include the acquisition and sale of major commercial, industrial and residential development sites, commercial, industrial and retail leasing, property development and joint ventures. He acts for a diverse group of clients including listed property trusts, major corporates and developers and the New South Wales State Government.
Andrew has particular expertise in relation to residential apartment developments and residential community developments and works with his clients through the entire life cycle of their projects including the delivery of high volume conveyancing services.
Experience
Andrew’s recent experience includes advising:
- Ecove Group in relation to the acquisition of a series of development sites at the Sydney Olympic Park by way of a project delivery agreements and the sale of approximately 1200 apartments;
- Metro Property Group in relation to the acquisition of sites for a number of community title developments and all aspects of each of the projects including the sale of house and land packages and apartments;
- City Freeholds, Clipper Property Group and others in relation to the acquisition and sale of a number of Sydney CBD commercial buildings;
- Austino Property Group, Fioson, City Freeholds, Hilton Property Group and others in relation to the leasing and operation of their shopping centres and also in relation to the leasing and operation of their commercial and industrial property portfolios;
- The Star Entertainment Group in relation to a variety of property related matters relating to The Star Casino including the licencing and operation of its retail tenancy precinct; and
- Property NSW in relation to a variety of landlord and tenant issues and disputes and acting on its behalf in relation to commercial leasing.
