HWL Ebsworth leads deal for Anacacia Capital to take a stake in one of Australia’s biggest independent infrastructure advisory and project management firms, Root Partnerships, with focus on the country’s $288 billion infrastructure pipeline.

HWL Ebsworth acted for the shareholders of Root Partnerships in this significant private equity deal. The HWL Ebsworth transaction team was led by Philip Mitchell, Partner, and included Silke Koernicke, Special Counsel and Victoria Grimes, Lawyer in Corporate and Commercial; Nima Sedaghat, Partner and Dhanushka Jayawardena, Senior Associate in Taxation; and Jason Symons, Partner in Insurance.

Root Partnerships is well known for its work on social infrastructure projects such as museums, airports, schools and hospitals. It is expected to use Anacacia Capital’s equity injection to expand its project management and advisory services footprint in the infrastructure and property sectors.
