HWL Ebsworth acts for Property NSW on the lease of 231 Elizabeth Street with Charter Hall

09 September 2019

HWL Ebsworth has acted for Property NSW in relation to the 12-year tender secured by Charter Hall’s Prime Office Fund, which will see a number of NSW government departments and 2,000 workers move office to the 231 Elizabeth Street address. The Government will lease 13-storeys from the 15-story office tower, commencing in May 2020.

This is the first lease in the Sydney CBD under the NSW Government’s decentralisation policy, which has been implemented to convert multiple government leased office spaces into a consolidated number of flexible office hubs.

The team was led by Andrew Buchanan (Partner) with assistance from Audra Oliveira-Ben (Special Counsel) and Michelle Chow (Solicitor).
